‘Yuki no hi’ means ‘A snowing day’. When it was snowing a lot, we decided to paint outside of Belmont(a garden). It was ridiculously cold. My hands were shaking. In the beginning, we had small rituals for each of us. I was holding a pink fake flower and I was interacting with snows and winds. We filmed each other. We were wearing costumes we made. I was wearing a pillow costume which looks like a snowman. That made me warm a little bit. I may have wanted to create a lazy outfit to be like a couch potato. During the performance, I was lying down on the ground in the costume. We prepared a table with a duvet to create KOTATSU(A Japanese table with a heater). I felt very at home even though we were outside. We used a yellow, orange colored shopping bag to play around. Unn was covering her head with the bag and I was using that like a kite. That was the highlight of staying at the home. It was like an indication of anything could be toys for us.

After we relaxed at our home(I mean in the garden), we started to paint like a children show. We used red, yellow and white. They are Christmassy colors and also warm colors. We ordered what each of us paint each other. We were freezing at that time so I just said what I got in mind subconsciously. A dog, a tree, a grapefruit or a bicycle. It was so random. That was like the Fischli and Weiss’s questions work or the clay works. Get ideas and not to distinguish whether they are big or small.
