I was struggling about the collaboration with Unn. Because of my stubbornness. I didn’t want to create ‘Object’ anymore. We painted and painted and she produced many paintings more and more. I thought that if we put many artworks in the room, it would be like a hoarding room. I watched a film called ‘Wool 100 percent’ about old twin ladies who always pick some stuffs which they like from bins and their home is full of junks(but treasures for them) and stay isolated from anyone. And one day, there is a girl called ‘Knit again’ coming to their home, she always knits a sweater which she wears with red strings and never succeeds and when she doesn’t make the good one she screams ‘Kniiiiiitttt agaaaaaiiin!!!!’. She destroys the sweater and knit again. I found the contrast in-between the old ladies and the girl opposite. The girl’s frustration for her failure was showing the old ladies’ sadness of not having social interacts. The two ladies didn’t show their frustration of being left by their mom. But the girl shows her frustration as if on behalf of two of them. The girl tried to reach to her perfection but she gradually became softer and softer by being interfered by old ladies’ junks. She somehow looked she accepted imperfection in the end.

I decided to create a monster clothe with every cloth which I have from the inside of a black cloth because for not to create. It’s creating but I was not trying to create a perfection. I was kind of creating a junk. Through the movement of sewing inside out outside in without seeing clearly, I learned that making lots of things without purposes lead me to be meditated. So finally I could understand why Unn really wanted to create. Creating removes ego, thinking mind. It took two hours to sew.

This one is also inspired from the film “Paths of the Soul”. Just focus on the moment and try not to think of what the creation will be. Just step on the ground I can see.
