"A Pupa"
It was for our first year exhibition, I was staying inside of the duvet and showing only my hands. Some people touched my hands for checking whether that's a doll or a human. Even though they touched, some people still thought that I was a doll, it might be because I was away from the human world for awhile?
I dedicated this work for a heroine in a film 'All about Lily Chou Chou'. The girl committed suicide from a high place and I thought that she wanted to be a butterfly.
This artwork made two different perspectives. the one is a mummy or a coffin and another one was a pupa or an egg. Those two elements are opposite like Death and Life.
I wanted the girl to sleep well as well as revive someday.
