"Appear Disappear"

This is a video of one day performance with a friend in Japan.

We did same actions in the same time schedules which doesn't exist in any countries. Every 4h30ms, we did some actions including sleep and eat. And we decided to make our time forward and backward to create the new time line. So we decided at 12pm for our time line but that was morning in the UK and afternoon in Japan.

The reason why we decided 4h30ms was because of a time difference in-between the UK and Japan is 9 hours.

The reason why we decided to do this project was 'Intimacy'. We wanted to to go close each other through doing the same actions at the same timing even in a remote environment.

We wore eye masks during meditation and subconscious writing. We tried to put ourselves in the darkness due to getting rid of visual images.

After the darkness sessions, we walked. At that time, the UK was in midnight. I started to walk from 1:30am in raining. Japan was in the morning. My friend started to walk at 10:30am in sunlight.

Yin and Yang obviously appeared. I felt fear and I started to sing songs about objects which I found on the way back. I felt like I became a ghost. My friend felt like very relaxed and enjoyed watching streams of a river. We walked the same timeline nevertheless different feelings.

I became more sensitive about everything and she became more optimistic about everything. We used to be opposite but now we are balanced.

"Appear Disappear"

This is a plan sheet for the meditation, subconscious writing and walking project in the UK and Japan.

We decided to do that through feeling the existence of the darkness and the light because they are the signature of Time.

We wanted to feel connection without considering about Time or Space. So we decided to wear eye masks during meditation and writing. And we were walking toward the East and the West to get closer each other.

Kind of we were trying to create our own world for a day which has a routine of four and half hours.
