This is a collage of videos which I took in Japan in the summer 2017. The background is from on a train. I realized that I took many videos on trains and everyday life more than sightseeing or beautiful sceneries. My dogs were the significant part of my summer life. They healed me after my work always. And the black dog called “Roku” (it means six and also green) taught me to focus on the wind which is blowing now. I was in a countryside with my cousin and my grandma. I was chasing my cousin and her laughing voice was sprinkled in the room and everyone turned children. In the end of the video, I was eating a shaved ice with red syrup. Like deconstructing a mountain. If I don’t eat, it will be gone, so I eat fast. It means that the beauty doesn’t stay for forever. Wabi-sabi.

This is the bridge for me to connect myself to the present moment and the society. I reflected from Unn’s bridge video work. A thing which scares me is Japan. But a thing which connects me and the significant importance of life is Japan too.

I wanted to create something nostalgic. It’s dreamy but the train and the firework under the bridge of a crowded station reminded me of hard hard hard working in Japan. The rainbow was beautiful because it doesn’t stay there forever.
